Initial Brick Translation of Effects

In this initial drawing, I experimented with different ways of staggering a brick course and how angled facets could meet to capture the effects created in my foil models of perspectival convergence, coincidental disruption and directionality. The above image shows two variations of a perforate brick pattern and how the qualities seem to relate to the effects of the foil models below.

Hi Manijeh- these studies look interesting and the criteria from the intitial folded models start to become something new in the brick- which is very useful I think. How do you test their characteristics (push them)? Is it about perceived distortion, light, perforate qualities, the creation of pockets or staggered boundaries? Also, what are the implications on the structural properties? Modelling may help- laser cutting 6mm mdf or 3d print?...J

Manijeh, the translation from the foil model into a material model is really hopefull. Can you identify what the effect is of the model beyond the model as an object. So what effect does it have on the spaces on either side of the wall. Consider light, views through etc. How can you manipulate the perception so that the relation changes.
